Link Text to a PDF

This is an example of a text linking to a PDF.

Step 1: Upload your PDF

  1. Navigate to Manage > Content > Files
  2. Click Add file(s) button
  3. Drag and drop your file OR click on Add Files
  4. Make any desired changes to the file
  5. Save

Step 2: Copy the File's URL

  1. Navigate to Manage > Content > Files
  2. Click on the desired file name
  3. Click the link to the file on the resulting page
  4. Copy the portion of the URL path that comes AFTER the .io or .edu portion, including the /
    • Example: uasites.arizona.edu/sites/default/files/Sample%20Document.pdf

Step 3: Link the Desired Text

  1. Navigate to the page you want to link to
  2. Edit the page
  3. Highlight the actionable text you want to be the link
  4. Click on the link icon
  5. Paste the portion of the link you copied into the link box, Save
    • Example: /sites/default/files/Sample%20Document.pdf
  6. Apply styles as desired
  7. Save the page
